UN Country Team Annual Results Report 2025
The 2025 Annual Results Report showcases the collective achievement of the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Egypt under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023–2027.
Comprising 29 UN entities and led by the UN Resident Coordinator, the UNCT supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring nationally owned, inclusive, and sustainable results.
Throughout 2025, the United Nations in Egypt worked alongside national institutions through policy dialogue, technical cooperation and development programmes across several sectors to achieve concrete results that improve people’s lives.
With a total programmatic delivery exceeding US$ 191.5 million, the report reflects strong progress across five strategic priority areas, delivered in close partnership with the Government of Egypt and development partners.
The UNSDCF serves as the primary instrument guiding the UNCT’s collective contribution in support of national efforts to advance inclusive and sustainable development and achieve the priorities of Egypt’s Vision 2030. It translates global commitments into coordinated support at the country level, ensuring alignment with national priorities and strengthened delivery of results.
The UNSDCF is structured around five outcomes: strengthened human capital with a focus on children and youth (Outcome 1); diversified, inclusive and environmentally sustainable economic development (Outcome 2); environmental sustainability and climate resilience (Outcome 3); good governance, transparency and rule of law (Outcome 4); and women’s and girls’ empowerment (Outcome 5).
Throughout the UNSDCF, the UNCT applies five inter-related programming principles: leave no one behind; human rights, gender equality and women’s empowerment; sustainability and resilience; and accountability.
