UN in Egypt Booth at the Global Congress on Health, Population and Development.. A Call for Action for Our Common Future

The United Nations system in Egypt has partnered with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population on the Global Congress on Population, Health and Development, held under the auspices of His Excellency, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Congress, held in Cairo, from 5 September to 8 September 2023,  has been a timely event meant to shape Egypt and the region’s direction on ensuring equitable and accessible health for all and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. 

The UN family in Egypt was represented at the Global Congress on Health, Population and Development by the "UN Booth in Egypt"  aligned with the Global Congress agenda, with a special focus on the various programs, activities, and initiatives of the UN in Egypt, all coming under the theme "“A Healthy Population: The backbone of the SDGs” with additional tagline “Act Now for Our Common Future”" to highlight the policy of the UN system in Egypt in dealing with Health, Population and Development issues.
